How long does vetting take?
Usually three to four weeks from application. Credentials are checked within 2 working days, the demo lesson is booked within a week, and the background check takes 5–10 working days with the external provider.
Why do you need a background check?
Most of our learners are under 18. No teacher can be assigned a learner until the check is cleared — this is enforced by the system itself, not by a person remembering to check.
What happens at the demo lesson?
You teach a 20-minute lesson to one of our staff playing a beginner, then a short conversation with the Head of Instruction about how you teach.
Who sees my documents?
Only the Head of Instruction and the Director. Files are stored encrypted and access is logged. Background check results are kept for the period required by law and then deleted.
Am I an employee or a contractor?
This is being finalised (decision D-08). Your offer letter will state it clearly before you sign anything.
Can I edit my application after submitting?
Yes — open Application from the menu. Changes to instruments or levels are reviewed again by the Head of Instruction.
